Log in to Skype for one-to-one play of new Outfit single

Liverpool-based oddball popsters Outfit have a new album out in a few weeks, but rather than première the first rack via a site like ours or on the radio, they have chosen to take a very different path this time around.

‘Swam Out’ is the closer from the band’s upcoming second LP Slowness, which gets its full release on Memphis Industries June 15th.

However, if you want to be one of a select few to hear it this week, you will need to connect with frontman Andrew P Hunt via Skype.

Simply call the username ‘@andrewoutfit’ between 10pm and 11pm any night this week (until Monday May 18th) and those who receive a response will be played the track down the line in perfect quality. What’s more, he song will be played on loop until the caller hangs up.

Of course where this adds an extra level of exclusivity and intimacy is that the caller will be the only person on the planet listening to the track at that particular time.

The band confirmed that the logistical process that went into recording the record had a lot to do with the decision to première ‘Swam Out’ via Skype.

They are now spread over to countries and three cities, meaning Skype calls show each other writing became an essential part of the creating the record.

Unfortunately, we’ve only been met with the engaged tone during our attempts so far this week, so can’t bring you ‘Swam Out’, but for a taste of things to come check out ‘On the Water On the Way’ below.
