Live Nation will require a negative test or vaccination for all events

Concert booking giants Live Nation have announced that they will require proof of a Covid-19 vaccination or a negative test for all future events.

According to Rolling Stone, the new policy will come into effect at all venues and festivals from October 4th.

The policy not only accounts for attendees but also artists, crew members, venue staff and anybody who will be at the venue during or before the performance.

Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino announced in a statement: “Vaccines are going to be your ticket back to shows.”

Adding: “As of October 4th, we will be following the model we developed for Lollapalooza and requiring this for artists, fans and employees at Live Nation venues and festivals everywhere possible in the US.”

Of course, this policy can only be enforced where the law permits it, so it is unclear whether they will be able to uphold the policy on every occasion.

Recently, Jason Isbell joined a growing list of artists to enforce their own personal version of the policy. The country star stated: “I’m all for freedom, but if you’re dead, you don’t have any freedoms at all. It’s probably important to stay alive before you start questioning your liberty.”
