Linkin Park cancel Bern concert due to emergency medical issue

Linkin Park have cancelled a show in Bern, Switzerland, citing a “medical issue in the band”. The concert was due to take place on June 20th.

Taking to their Instagram Stories, the band released a statement announcing the cancellation. The message began, “It is with great sadness that we have had to cancel tonight’s show. We’ve had a medical issue in the band, and are unfortunately not at a spot to be able to perform tonight.”

The statement continued, “We have always loved Switzerland, and were so excited to perform here. We don’t take cancellations lightly and offer our sincere apologies to all of our fans affected by this decision. We will be rescheduling tonight’s Bern show to be a part of our 2026 European tour so that we can make this up to all of you.”

The band also explained that they hope to have 2026 show dates and details within the next few days, stating that fans impacted by the cancellation will be contacted by their ticketing company, which will provide “further information and options.”

Linkin Park did not provide information on which member of the band has suffered the medical issue. Their next scheduled concert is set to take place at Hellfest in France on June 22nd, and as it stands, their set will still go ahead. They are also set to play a headline show in Milan on June 24th, and perform in the Netherlands on June 26th.

In 2024, the band returned with new vocalist Emily Armstrong and released their first album following the death of their late frontman Chester Bennington seven years prior. From Zero was a commercial success, topping the charts in the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Netherlands, Germany, France, Portugal and Italy.

On their current tour, the band are set to play huge venues such as London’s 90,000-capacity Wembley Stadium on June 28th and the Stade de France in Paris on July 11th. However, there is less demand for tickets in the band’s native California.

Their return home was originally to be celebrated with a show at the 56,000-capacity Dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles with Queens of the Stone Age and Jpegmafia. They have announced it will take place at the 18,000-capacity Inuit Dome instead, with Queens of the Stone Age seemingly missing from the bill.

Linkin Park hope to continue with their extensive list of upcoming live shows, despite the medical emergency. It is not yet known whether they will need to cancel further performances in light of the issue.
