The death is being treated as ‘unexplained’ by Thames Valley Police who have not released the boy’s identity but have alerted his next of kin.
“I would like to thank nearby campers for their co-operation whilst we are in attendance. We will continue to provide support to the boy’s family at this difficult time,” Reading Festival’s Police Commander, superintendent Rory Freeman, said before adding: “no cause for concern for surrounding festival-goers.”
