Liam Gallagher has taken to social to demand an Oasis reunion with all proceeds being donated to the NHS as a thank you for their service during the current coronavirus pandemic.
The ongoing pandemic of coronavirus disease was first officially identified in December 2019 in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei in China. As of March 25th, more than 428,217 cases of COVID-19 have been officially confirmed but the actual number is thought to be much higher due to substantial under-reporting of cases.
With more than 19,101 people having died from the virus, COVID-19 has now spread into more than 180 other countries—including mainland Europe, South America and North America. Given the exponential growth in cases in countries like Italy, Spain and the UK, the WHO have now stated that Europe was the current centre of the pandemic.
Gallagher revealed he was “sick of begging” before posting another request for Noel to get the band back together, which read: “Rite sick of pleading begging etc no more olive branches I DEMAND an oasis reunion after this is all over all money going to NHS c’mon you know”.
The younger Gallagher sibling then revealed how the current situation had reaffirmed his love for his big brother. “Give a shit what people think I’m crying I’m sad this has all brought it home how much I miss and need him for love,” he said.
Things then reverted back to normal shortly afterwards, however, as he quipped: “The only way this lockdown can get any worse is if the ice cream vans start booting round the streets blasting Rkid’s new tunes out.”
On Friday evening, Gallagher along with Bonehead will be live-tweeting them listening back to Oasis debut Definitely Maybe which will no doubt include a plentiful amount of amusing anecdotes from the duo and is an essential way to spend your evening.
