We’ve been waiting for some new Leon Bridges music for what feels like forever, and like all good things he dropped a double on us and walked away smiling as we reeled in smooth soulful goodness.
Now, he’s followed that up with the promise of more good times ahead with the announcement of his new album Good Thing, which will be out 4th May via Columbia. Leon says of the new record: “I loved my experience with Coming Home. Good Thing however allows me to showcase more of my influences and artistry. I’m excited for the world to hear it and perform this diverse group of songs live.”
He released two new tracks last week ‘Bad Bad News’ and ‘Bet Ain’t Worth The hand’. The songs are typical of not only Bridges sound, rooted firmly in yesteryear which a touch of soul, r’n’b and heaps of class, but also of his evolution, as he continues to explore the lyrical space more fully.
Having recently shared the tracks on Zane Lowe’s Beats1 Radio show, Bridges is looking set to follow up his brilliant, and hugely acclaimed, debut album Coming Home with another smokey, sultry release
