La Luz give us the weird and wonderful video to ‘You Disappear’

‘Surf Noire’ is the word on our lips after we were treated to the brilliant video from Seattle’s La Luz and their track ‘You Disappear’.

Bouncing rhythm and the undoubted quirkiness of La Luz the video is centred around a performance for the ‘Ethnic Cultural Hour’ and is as odd and hazy as a peyote cocktail. Psyche tinges add a darkness to this otherwise pop driven sound. La Luz play it brilliantly with a sly smile and a knowing nod to the past with an eye on the future.

‘You Disappear’ is made for cult classic films, its intent is honest and its delivery on point. The video just goes someway to confirm this and complemented by some 3d visuals (a free pair of 3d glasses comes with every LP). Taken from the LP Weirdo Shrine out on Hardly Art now, ‘You Disappear’ is the latest offering from a great band.

Amid grey clouds and ugly weather this is a perfect Monday pick-me-up
