King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard release live albums for Australian fire relief

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have released two surprise live albums in order to raise money for the Australian fire relief.

The fires, which have been raging through the country for weeks, have said to have killed in excess of 500million animals and destroyed countless communities as firefighters bravely battle the intense and unrelenting heat.

While criticism continues to be directed at Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, a number of well-known celebrity names have joined the fight by donating large sums of money to the fundraiser set up to aid those affected by the fires.

The band, formed in Melbourne, Victoria, are attempting to raise money for Wildlife Victoria which will result in all proceeds going to Animals Australia who are desperately trying to raise money to help those affected by the devastating wildfires which have decimated large areas of the country.

“Donations to our Victorian bushfire appeal will be distributed to wildlife shelters and carers to help rebuild enclosures and equipment that they have lost in the fires so that they can continue their lifesaving work, and support those that are struggling to cope with the enormous number of animals that will need care in the coming weeks and months,” Wildfire Victoria state.

Doing their part, King Gizzard have released two records: Live In Adelaide ’19 and Live in Paris ’19. The group, and streaming platform Bandcamp, will donate all proceeds raised from purchases of the records to the aforementioned charities.
