Kid Rock meets with Donald Trump’s team in bid to fix ticket industry
Kid Rock is fighting the issue of ticketing in the music industry. He met with Donald Trump’s Attorney General nominee to discuss the topic and how to combat the problem.
In recent years, Ticketmaster has been at the centre of several controversies, including the usage of dynamic prices for tours with high demand, such as Oasis, Beyoncé, and Taylor Swift. The main issue with Ticketmaster is that it holds a monopoly on the industry, allowing it to launch questionable schemes due to the lack of competition.
In response, Kid Rock met with Trump’s Attorney General nominee, Pam Bondi, to discuss the issue in the hope of finding a fix. He shared on social media after that he hopes to work closely with Trump’s incoming administration to tackle this problem and help both fans and artists alike.
“What a treat to break bread with our soon to be Attorney General Pam Bondi,” he wrote on Instagram, “I look forward to working with her and the whole administration to help fix the fiasco of buying concert tickets.”
The musician made it clear that he won’t be backing down easy as Kid Rock claimed he is “gonna open a can of whoop ass on the bots, scalpers, venues, ticketing companies, managers and artists alike who rip off and deceive the public with the horse shit that has gone on for decades and only gotten worse.”
At the end of his post, he signed off by seemingly pledging his support for Trump’s administration as he wrote, “Whoever in charge that wants to help fix this, get your ass to the table, otherwise, Fuck Around and Find Out. Kid Rock #MAGA”.
