Karen O says Yeah Yeah Yeahs are “ready to make” new music

Karen O has teased the impending return of Yeah Yeah Yeahs by claiming that band are contemplating a comeback.

The band, made up of lead singer Karen O, guitarist Nick Zinner and drummer Brian Chase, haven’t shared new music since the release of their fourth studio album Mosquito in 2013.

After a prolonged hiatus, Yeah Yeah Yeahs returned for a one-off reunion show All Points Festival in Victoria Park in London in 2018 but each member of the band then immediately returned to their individual side projects.

Now though, Karen O has hinted that the band are contemplating a return to the studio: “All I can say is that I feel ready to make some music,” the lead singer said in a new interview with Australian platform Double J.

She added: “It feels like time to have something new out there.”
