Kanye West at 2% in the first national poll since announcing presidential plans
Kanye West’s plan to become President of the United States currently looks like a pipedream after it was revealed in a national poll that only 2% of Americans would vote for him.
Redfield & Wilton Strategies polled 2,000 registered voters in the U.S. and let’s just say that they’re not as impressed with West’s platform as he seems to be. Joe Biden leads the pack with 48%, with Donald Trump in second with 40%. When West is included in the poll, Trump’s number dips to 39% while Biden’s remains the same.
In a conversation with Forbes about his Presidency plans, he said: “When the conversation turned to his proposed Presidential run, God just gave me the clarity and said it’s time,” as an explanation for his decision. “You know I was out there, ended up in the hospital, people were calling me crazy. I’m not crazy.”
He continued: “Between all of the influences and the positions that we can be put in as musicians… It can drive you crazy, through all of that I was looking crazy because it wasn’t the time. Now it’s time. And we’re not going crazy, we’re going Yeezy, it’s a whole ‘notha level now. N-O-T-H-A.”
