Kanye West has taken to social media to offer the personal admission that he misses his Watch the Throne collaborator Jay-Z.
The relationship between the two now-icon rappers has wavered as the years have passed, with West recently admitting that he hasn’t spoken to Jay-Z for years. However, he did confess that this was something that he wants to change and resurrect their relationship.
Their 2011 joint album Watch the Throne celebrated its nine-year anniversary over the past weekend and it left West in a reminiscent mood, sharing a video of the pair performing ‘Otis’ at the 2011 MTV VMAs alongside the caption: “Miss my bro… real talk.”
West recently revealed to Kris Kaylin that he would like Jay-Z to be his running mate in the upcoming election, he said: “I was like, ‘You know who should be my running mate? Shawn Carter.’”
Asked if he had spoken to Jay-Z about his plans, West replied: “Man, you know I ain’t talked to my brother in thousands, or like, nine years or something like that. And the fact we ain’t talked in so long, that’s how you know we’re real brothers. Because unfaithful ones can be mad at you and still pull up cos they getting the cheque.”
