As the scheduled release date for Kanye West’s latest album Jesus Is King became the stuff of myth and legend earlier in the month, we were wondering if we would ever get to hear the new record. But, yesterday, Ye confirmed that the new LP will arrive on Friday.
After a host of delays, the rapper took to Twitter to share the updated release date of the new album Jesus Is King. The follow-up to Ye avoided hitting its first scheduled release date in September even after Ye shared the tracklist and previewed the record at his ongoing Sunday Sessions event.
But now, he’s take to Twitter to share an update on the long-awaited release, even sharing an image of a blue vinyl with the record’s name on it. The album will be released on the same day as West’s IMAX film of the same name, which will show off the Sunday Sessions event in all its glory.

At an event at George Washington University, Kanye told the audience that the album was delayed because he was “making it better for y’all.” Now, we’ll be able to enjoy the actual album instead of the extended build-up, let’s hope it doesn’t disappoint.
