Jupiter Lion release new track ‘Doppelganger’
Spanish trio Jupiter Lion has shared their latest offering, ‘Doppelganger’, an intense danceable number glazed over with their own psychedelic veneer.
The single is a lead-in to the band’s follow-up to 2013’s cinematic debut, Silver Mouth, due out on BCore later this year.
‘Doppelganger’ adds another string to Jupiter Lion’s menacing bow, combining their signature vintage synths with high-energy jazz.
While inspiration comes from Nisennenmondai’s chirpy minimalism, this track is certainly no Doppelganger of their Japanese stimulus.
Long stints in the studio and a death in their family have temporarily put the band’s live performances on hold, but not without increasing requests for their shows.
Having just played their third appearance at Barcelona’s Primavera Sound, the band has already wrapped up support slots for Spectrum and Dead Skeletons.
If you haven’t heard Jupiter Lion before, ‘Doppelganger’ is a good start.
