Judas Priest urge heavy metal fans to get Covid vaccine

Judas Priest’s singer, Rob Halford, has urged his fans, as well as heavy-metal supporters at large, to get the COVID-19 vaccine. He has asked followers of the genre to go get vaccinated so they can all once again “get those amazing vibes and feelings back faster.”

Halford sent his message to the world via an Instagram video on April 10th. He began his plea for solidarity as such: “Hi everyone. This is your metal god, Rob Halford of Judas Priest, sending you a massive shoutout of thanks to our metal community for doing the right thing by getting the life-saving vaccine that will eventually eradicate COVID-19 around the world.”

Halford’s message comes when a lot of disinformation about the virus and vaccines has spread throughout the web, causing a lot of division and debate within the public sphere. The Judas Priest singer is taking a role of leadership to contribute some guidance. His clear motive here is to get live music up and running again.

“You know, common sense states that by having the jab, we’re opening up one of the most important areas that we have so desperately missed, which is being side by side, horns way up at clubs, theatres, arenas and festivals where who we are and what we live for is tangible and real with the bands we love. So let’s get those amazing vibes and feelings back faster,” Halford added.

The singer concluded with, “I urge those of us who have not yet been vaccinated to please step up. Judas Priest and all bands everywhere are made complete by playing live for our fans.”
