Journey announce farewell tour

Classic rock band Journey have announced plans for a farewell tour.

The tour has been titled, Final Frontier Tour 2026, and Journey have unveiled details for the first half of their final run, which will then run through until 2027.

So far, they have confirmed 60 dates. The first leg, which is all based in North America, will begin on February 28th, 2026, in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and conclude on July 2nd in Laredo, Texas.

In a statement, the band’s guitarist Neil Schon said of the upcoming tour, “This tour is our heartfelt thank-you to the fans who’ve been with us every step of the way — through every song, every era, every high and low.”

He continued, “We’re pulling out all the stops with a brand-new production — the hits, the deep cuts, the energy, the spectacle. It’s a full-circle celebration of the music that’s brought us all together.”

Additionally, Schon also reflected on their legacy, sharing with fans, “As its founding member, I carry the Journey torch to this day, wherever I go. The sentiment and spirit of the band will always remain.”

The guitarist then confirmed that the final tour does not mark the end of his career, adding, “The sentiment and spirit of the band will always remain. While this marks a farewell to one powerful chapter of the Journey we’ve shared, I want everyone to know I’m not done. Music is still burning strong inside me, and there are new creative horizons ahead. This tour is both a thank you and the beginning of what’s next.”

Keyboardist Jonathan Cain reflected on the “incredible ride” they have been on as Journey, explaining, “This tour is about gratitude, connection and one last chance to feel that magic together.”

Only last month, it was confirmed that Cain would be leaving the band following their next tour, which has now been revealed to be their last.

The ‘Don’t Stop Believin” band currently consists of Schon, Cain, as well as vocalist Arnel Pineda, drummer Deen Castronovo, bassist Todd Jensen and second keyboardist Todd Jensen.

Tickets for their forthcoming North American arena tour will go on sale on November 14th.
