Could this year’s James Bond release, No Time To Die, be the most musically gifted ever? Alongside Billie Eilish and Hans Zimmer, now the franchise has enlisted the help of The Smiths’ Johnny Marr.
The 25th edition of the franchise sees not only Daniel Craig take on the role of Her Majesty’s favourite secret agent, 007. But also a range of some of music’s best.
Billie Eilish was just invited on board to sing the iconic theme song of the 25th installment of the legendary film series. Marr will also be joining the growing musical team but alongside composer Hans Zimmer.
Speaking to the NME, Marr said: “Part of the legacy of the Bond films is iconic music, so I’m very happy to be bringing my guitar to No Time To Die.”
It’s not the first time the pair have worked together. Marr and Hans Zimmer provided the soundtracks for Inception in 2010 and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in 2014, as well as working with the composer during a live series in 2016.
As Bond makes its way into its fifth decade as an ongoing film series, it is getting decidedly cooler with its musical appointments.
