John Leguizamo tells ICE-supporting fans: “Don’t come to my shows and don’t wan’t watch my movies”

John Lequizamo has told his fans who agree with the actions of ICE to stop supporting his work.

The actor, who has starred in John Wick and the Ice Age franchise, made his comments following the recent killings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti in Minneapolis at the hands of ICE officers.

Leguizamo said in a video message, which was captioned “abolish ICE”, posted to social media on January 28th, “If you follow ICE, unfollow me. Don’t come to my shows and don’t watch my movies.”

The Hollywood star has been vocal in his condemnation of ICE for many months. After former Superman star Dean Cain revealed his ambition to become a federal agent, Leguizamo said in a social media video, “What kind of loser volunteers to be an ICE officer?”

His attack continued, “What a moron. Dean Cain, your pronouns are has/been.”

He also implored Latino voters not to vote for Trump after comedian Tony Hinchcliffe referred to Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage” at Donald Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally, writing on Instagram, “If you are Latino or Puerto Rican and you vote Trump don’t ever step up to me cause I swear!”

Additionally, following a poll that showed that Trump was increasing his popularity with Latin voters in April 2024, he said, “Well, here’s what you can count on, though. No matter what Trump says about inflation, he doesn’t like us and he doesn’t want us here.”

In recent days, following the death of Alex Pretti on January 24th, many stars from the film industry have publicly condemned ICE’s actions, including Natalie Portman, Olivia Wilde and Ethan Hawke.

Additionally, Bruce Springsteen launched a scathing takedown of ICE’s conduct in Minneapolis on his new single ‘Streets of Minneapolis’, which he has released in memory of Pretti and Good. He also called out “the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis”.

On the track, ‘The Boss’ obliterates the Trump regime and sings, “A city aflame fought fire and ice, ‘Neath an occupier’s boots, King Trump’s private army from the DHS, Guns belted to their coats, Came to Minneapolis to enforce the law, Or so their story goes.”
