Jeremy Corbyn may not be the leader of the Houses of Parliament, but he sure as hell is the leader of music as he is set to compound his image as a friend to all music lovers with an appearance at the iconic Pyramid Stage at this year’s Glasto.
The enigmatic politician will introduce Run The Jewels, of which Killer Mike made a long time push for Sen. Bernie Sanders race to The White House, as well as delivering a small talk to the, likely, adoring crowd – though this is Glasto so you never know.
Michael Eavis, the event’s founder, had this to say “We’re Corbyn fans, that’s the thing,” Eavis told the Guardian. “He’s got something new and precious, and people are excited about it. He really is the hero of the hour.”
“He really believes in [nuclear disarmament], like I do. The UK’s nuclear weapons cost an absolute fortune, and make us a target. Why? For four boats? It’s ridiculous; it’s so absurd. Corbyn is on the same page with me on that one. He’s going to fight it out, I think.”
