Savages singer Jehnny Beth to release a collection of erotic short stories
Savages lead singer, Jehnny Beth, is releasing a series of erotic short stories entitled Crimes Against Love Manifesto (C.A.L.M.).
With accompanying photography from Johnny Hostile, the new book will arrive on June 11, 2020, and released through White Rabbit. The collaboration with Hostile, whose photographs punctuate Beth’s stories help to tell the “uncompromising vision of Jehnny Beth.”
The synopsis reads: “Fearless and highly erotic, these stories delight in ideas of sexual transgression and liberation, offering a window onto a world where anything is permitted and everything is safe. As each of her characters break from the bonds of acceptability and enter a darkness of desire, submission and sex, they discover their own humanity, a place where they can truly be free.”
Speaking about the project, Beth explained: “I’m interested in… the freedom of the imagination about sexuality and the fact that behind closed doors, when you’re not hurting anybody, you can imagine and do whatever you want.”
To coincide with the new project news, Beth has also shared the new music video for her latest song ‘Flower’ which has been directed by Peaky Blinders director Anthony Byrne and stars Beth alongside Rebeka Adams. See the clip, below.
