Jacob Elordi praises Margaret Qualley ahead of Ridley Scott project: “She demands the truth”

Jacob Elordi has praised Margaret Qualley ahead of their collaboration on Ridley Scott’s forthcoming post-apocalyptic thriller, The Dog Stars.

Elordi lent the praise to Qualley via a Variety write-up on the 31-year-old actor. Via e-mail, Elordi shared of his peer, “She keeps it real, it’s a requirement.”

The Australian actor went on to add, “A genuine pleasure to work with an artist like that, she demands the truth.”

Her influence on the 28-year-old star doesn’t stop there. Elordi also added, “She also reminded me how important it is to stay limber.”

Asked to explain his curious use of the term “limber,” Qualley added that “I hope it’s a dual meaning,” hinting at its meaning of physical flexibility and something more symbolic.

The pair of A-listers will star in the adaptation of the 2012 novel by Peter Heller. Josh Brolin from Avengers: Endgame, Guy Pearce from Prometheus, and Benedict Wong from Doctor Strange will also star.

The plot will follow Hig, played by Elordi, a civilian pilot living a lonely life on an abandoned Colorado airbase with his dog and a tough ex-marine, played by Brolin.

The pair are lured out of their aircraft hangar by a strange radio transmission; their journey leads to encounters with Qualley, Pearce, and Wong. Mark L. Smith, who penned The Revenant and Twisters, has written the script

Elsewhere, Elordi stars as the complicated and ultimately villainous Heathcliff in Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights, alongside Margot Robbie and Alison Oliver.

Elordi is going all-in on the literary front; the Australian star is next set to star in Outer Dark, an adaptation of the Cormac McCarthy novel, alongside Nosferatu star Lily-Rose Depp.

Qualley has a busy schedule following a stand-out role in The Substance; she is also set to star in How to Make a Killing with Glen Powell, as well as the thriller remake of Possession and the gothic horror Victorian Psycho.
