Iron Maiden announce North American stadium tour with huge special guests
Iron Maiden have announced the long-awaited North American dates for their 50th anniversary tour, titled Run For Your Lives, with support from Megadeth and Anthrax.
The heavy metal heavyweights have been celebrating half a century since their inception in 1975 with a European and UK tour, which kicked off on May 31st in Budapest.
Iron Maiden then went on to perform 31 other shows across the summer, including UK stops in Birmingham, Manchester, London, and Glasgow.
Now, they’ve revealed that they will kick off the North American leg of the world tour on August 29th, 2026, in Toronto. The band will then continue on through Canada and the US, making stops in places such as Louisville, Charlotte, Boston, and Chicago before wrapping up on September 29th in San Antonio.
They will play some of their biggest North American performances to date, in stadiums like Montreal’s Parc Jean-Drapeau and San Antonio’s the Alamodome. This tour specifically focuses on Iron Maiden’s first nine albums, from 1980’s Iron Maiden to 1992’s Fear of the Dark.
Their bassist, Steve Harris, has shared a statement expressing their enthusiasm for the newly announced dates: “We are greatly looking forward to bringing this Run for Your Lives Tour to North America and hope the fans enjoy seeing the show and hearing the set list as much as we do playing it.”
He then turned his attention to the support acts, sharing, “It’s an added bonus to have a few of our good friends on the tour with us. Megadeth are playing all the shows and it’s an honor to have them join us on their last ever tour. We also have Anthrax with us on the bigger shows. We had a great time with them when they came out with us on Ed Force One around the world in 2016. We’re delighted to have both bands with us for this tour and know our fans will enjoy seeing them.”
