Hoops announce new LP with ‘Rules’

Hoops had one of those years in 2016, that you may look back on after a long career and think “That’s where it began”. They released a string of welcomed hits and signed with Fat Possum Records to move themselves from bedroom studios in to Brooklyn studios. ‘Rules’ is the first taste of this switch and it’s a bittersweet triumph.

The album Routines is out on May 5th via Fat Possum and follows the releases ‘Cool 2’ and ‘Gemini’ and now the brilliant ‘Rules’. The track is a sunshining piece of surf and slacker rock gold. Detailing jangling pop riffs with dark edged melodies and a nuance vocal mean that Hoops have something of their own sound.

So, great back catalogue. Great label. Great album on the way. Great single. There’s one thing missing… Great tour. The band will be out on the road in May to support the album with all the details below.
