Honeyglaze release ‘Turn Out Right’ from compliation for Music Venue Trust

Indie-rock trio Honeyglaze have released ‘Turn Out Right’ from the upcoming compilation for Music Venue Trust and UK Artist Touring Fund.

The acoustic track marks the second song issued from Opus Kink’s ‘A Hideous Collective’, a compilation of 24 songs made to support the independent music scene.

“I never check the news when I’m with you,” the song begins. “Maybe things will turn out right,” Anouska Sokolow sings in the chorus repeatedly, offering a way out of the hopelessness of the current political moment through the comfort of a safe love.

Honeyglaze will be joined on the LP by the likes of Wunderhorse, English Teacher, Katy J Pearson, Lambrini Girls, Antony Szmierek, Getdown Services, Mary in the Junkyard, and many more.

Speaking ahead of the launch, Opus Kink explained the new project: “Touring independent music venues is like this. The most passionate organisers are the ones who do it on a shoestring and are often one bad season away from crumbling.”

They continued, “Support for these venues and humans is starting to glimmer in the ashes through donations and awareness and the work of groups like MVT, but as always, unfortunately, it must also take wresting a more fundamental and top-down offering from the industry to really stay the decimation of grassroots live music culture in this country.”

Music Venue Trust also added: “This compilation is a celebration of everything that makes grassroots music culture so vital. Every track is a reminder that these spaces are not just stepping stones – they are sacred spaces of culture, rebellion, and connection. Buying this record is doing more than raising funds; it’s an act of beautiful support and solidarity at a time when the grassroots still aren’t valued for their essential contribution to the pipeline of talent in this country.”

The full compilation will be available for purchase on September 5th.
