Finally the brilliant band Hinds are back in our ears and eyes with the wonderful new video for ‘Easy’. The track is a murkier and moodier sound in comparison to their previous happy-go-lucky releases and its content, as well as the video, befits this.
‘Easy’ is about a moment of self-destruction following rejection, it single-handedly addresses this as a concern but also acknowledges it as a purposeful means of moving. Its charming yet forthright, subtle yet unabashed. Basically it’s Hinds in a nutshell.
“”Easy” is about the worst moment in the universe during a relationship cause you love him but he doesn’t anymore. And being in bed with him is giving him nightmares. And you are the hangover in his mornings, and the homework during the day and the pain in his ass. So when you reach that point you can’t help but self-destruct. There is just nothing you can do, it’s too late to take it easy.” Said the band.
Take a look and enjoy the brilliant simplicity of ragged pop.
