Helena Bonham Carter joins cast of ‘The White Lotus’ for season four

Helena Bonham Carter is among the new names that have been confirmed for season four of The White Lotus.

The next series of the hit HBO series is set to take place in France, but details regarding the plot for the forthcoming season remain under wraps.

In addition to the announcement of Bonham Carter, it has also been confirmed that Chris Messina and Marissa Long will also be joining the cast.

Previously, earlier this month, Steve Coogan was announced to join the cast following the previous confirmed names Caleb Jonte Edwards, Alexander Ludwig and AJ Michalka.

The luxury Château de La Messardière in Saint-Tropez on the Côte d’Azur has already been confirmed as a filming location. Per Variety, part of the series is also set to be filmed in a Paris hotel, and the Cannes Film Festival may also be part of the plot.

Filming is reportedly scheduled to begin in April, and if all goes according to plan, it will wrap up by October 2026.

Before the location was confirmed as France, The White Lotus creator Mike White teased of the forthcoming series, “For the fourth season, I want to get a little bit out of the ‘crashing waves against rocks’ vernacular.”

Additionally, during a conversation with Howard Stern on SiriusXM, White said last April, “I don’t think we’re going to South America [next], so probably not … but maybe one day we could do it there, I just gotta get out of LA.”

More casting announcements are expected to be confirmed in due course.
