Harry Styles releases new single ‘Aperture’ with Wolf Alice’s Ellie Rowsell on backing vocals
Wolf Alice singer Ellie Rowsell has been credited on Harry Styles’ huge comeback single, ‘Aperture’.
After weeks of teasing his return, Styles has now made his return with the dancefloor-ready first single from his upcoming fourth album, Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally, which is slated to arrive on March 6th, 2026.
For the new track, which is produced by his longtime collaborator Kid Harpoon, he has called upon the assistance of Rowsell, who is credited on Spotify with contributing backing vocals to the creation.
Wolf Alice and Styles do have a history together. Previously, in 2022, they acted as his special guests for the mainland Europe leg of his Love On Tour dates, performing together at arenas in Poland, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, France and more.
For the last night of the run of shows together, which took place at the Altice Arena in Lisbon, Rowsell joined Styles during his set for a duet of Wolf Alice’s tender track, ‘No Hard Feelings’.
Additionally, during an interview with Nylon, Rowsell reflected on touring with Styles, describing the jaunt as a “really, really special experience”, as well as describing the star as “a super lovely guy” who is “really welcoming” and “passionate”.
Meanwhile, earlier this week, Styles confirmed plans for residencies in Amsterdam, London, São Paulo, Mexico City, New York, Melbourne and Sydney this year, including an astonishing 30 dates at Madison Square Garden.
However, Wolf Alice will not be joining him on the road this time round. Instead, he’ll be supported by a cast of Robyn, Shania Twain, Fcukers, Jorja Smith, Jamie xx, Fousheé, Baby J and Skye Newman.
Additionally, in a new interview on the Radio 2 Breakfast Show on January 23rd, Styles opened up about the musical direction of his forthcoming release and explained how ‘Aperture’ was designed to tie everything together.
“I think the song was the last song that was made for the album. So it kind of ended up being this really perfect mission statement of what a lot of the album was about,” he shared.
Styles continued, “The opening and kind of allowing for more things and in turn allowing for more like positive things to come into your life, was a lot about what this song and this album as a whole was about for me.”
