We are very happy to bring to you one of the simplest and most genteel and caring tracks you’re likely to hear on a Friday. A persistent song with a touching core is aptly title ‘Simple Song’ and highlights the comfort in Hayley’s words.
Haley Heynderickx uses her songwriting as therapy, a sort of mandorla to bridge the gap between — whether it be between her mixed Filipino and American roots, or the dichotomy of her soft spoken nature and her vocal power.
Her debut album I Need to Start a Garden is full of pure bursts of humanity, in all their beauty and all their rawness, documenting anxiety, pain and conversely healing, community and creation.
Haley has just announced she will be heading to the UK to support The Low Anthem in April and Nap Eyes in May, she will also play The Great Escape and has her first London headline show.
