Haim have shared the new dates for their updated UK tour in support of their third album Women in Music Pt. III. The new dates are scheduled for September and will see the band trek through Scotland and England.
The California pop-rock band had to postpone their original scheduled dates, which were to happen this June, as precautionary measures due to the coronavirus. Now that travel restrictions are beginning to lift and vaccinations are becoming more widespread, the Haim sisters are once again setting their sights across the Atlantic.
“It’s been such a bummer being away from you guys for so long but the one more haim UK tour is officially happening this September!” the band tweeted out. “If u already purchased your ticket, it’s still valid. SEE YOU SOON.”
Without any ability to promote it live, Women in Music Pt. III was still a major success for the three sisters, becoming their second album to top the U.K. album charts (their second album, Something to Tell You, just missed the top spot, stalling out a number two). The album, and specifically its killer fourth single ‘The Steps’, also garnered the band Grammy nominations for Best Rock Performance and Album of the Year, as well as a BRIT nomination for International Group.
The band is “still figuring out Leeds and Dublin but will let you know as soon as we can reschedule.” The previous Leeds date was supposed to take place at Millennium Square, so the logistics of a large public performance in the middle of the city is likely a bit of a nightmare to suss out.
