Gurriers announce new album, ‘Nobody’s Coming To Save You’

Dublin‘s Gurriers have announced their return with their highly anticipated second album, Nobody’s Coming To Save You, slated for a September 25th release.

Along with the exciting news, the band has released the fierce title track, which they say is a “call to arms”. A post-apocalyptic music video directed by Thomas James accompanies the release.

Vocalist Dan Hoff, guitarists Ben O’Neill and Mark MacCormack, drummer Pierce Callaghan, and bassist Charlie McCarthy explained of the track, “It’s a song that seems hopeless on its first listen, but if you look at it more deeply, it’s a call to action.”

The band added, “No one is going to rise up if everyone expects someone else to do it. We all have to do our part in creating the change.”

Adopting a similar tone for the larger project, the album promises to “channel the spirit of protest, resistance and personal reflection into some of their most ambitious material to date.”

Nobody’s Coming To Save You was produced by Idles‘ Mark Bowen and producer Loren Humphrey, as well as engineer Chris Fullard and mixer John Congleton.

The band are on track for stardom with their follow-up to their 2024 debut, Come And See, which included hits ‘Top of the Bill’ and ‘Des Goblin’.

Far Out gave Come And See a glowing four-star review, observing that the LP is, “A treat from start to finish. An album that deserves repeat listens and will undoubtedly be exciting to experience live. It’s raw and emotional with a lot to say and the tested gaul to say it. It’s a heavy dose of just about everything, and a little triumph for the genre.”
