Grumbling Fur’s acid-laced new video featuring The Charlatans’ Tim Burgess

Electronic oddballs Grumbling Fur present the video for ‘Lightinsisters’, their collaboration with frontman of the The Charlatans, Tim Burgess.

The track sees Burgess’s unmistakable vocal placed upon an 80s-infused backing that uses pulsating synths to create a hook that is both infectious and leftfield in equal measure.

With this kaleidoscopic video as an accompaniment, the song explores psychedelia through electronica, while maintaining an accessibility that is difficult to balance.

It finds itself in the same ballpark as The Charlatans’ recent single ‘Talking In Tones’ – a comeback that has greatly impressed and marked a bold new direction for the Mancunian stalwarts.

What’s more, Grumbling Fur will be heading out on tour in support of Burgess and his band this Autumn, as well as a stint with Mercury-nominee and Far Out favourite East India Youth.

‘Lightinsisters’ featuring Tim Burgess will be released via The Quietus Phonographic Corporation on November 17th.
