Green Day share new track ‘Oh Yeah’ ahead of upcoming new album

Green Day have today shared a brand new track ‘Oh Yeah’ ahead of their upcoming album Father of All… which arrives next month.

Last week the ‘Basket Case’ trio took to social media to share the title of thier next track. They did it in typical fashion – by using a gif of US wrestler Macho Man Randy Savage – and we’ve all been waiting with bated breath for the song to drop.

Wait no more friends, as ‘Oh Yeah’ arrives with a brand new video to boot. No prizes for guessing that the track is a boot-stomping good time and pays homage to Joan Jett. The singer is a notable influence on Billie Joe Armstrong and he clearly pays tribute to her with this song.

The song follows on two previously released tracks ‘Father Of All…’ and ‘Fire, Ready, Aim’ making the run-up to the album’s release get more exciting with every passing release.

After the album drops on Feb 7th, the band will take to the road alongside pop-punk superstars Fall Out Boy and the college dorm room divas, Weezer, for their ‘Hella Mega’ tour which will blaze through in the summer.

For now, take a listen to Green Day’s ‘Oh Yeah’ below.
