‘Gotti’ actor Spencer Lofranco dead at 33

Spencer Lofranco, who starred alongside John Travolta in Gotti, has died aged 33.

His brother, Santino Lofranco, took to Instagram to reveal the sad news of the actor’s death. Santino described him as a “legend” before adding, “My brother. You lived a life only some could dream of.”

Santino continued, “You changed people lives, and now you are with God. I will always love you and miss you Bear. RIP. October 18, 1992 – November 18, 2025.”

No cause of death has yet been established. According to TMZ, the circumstances surrounding his passing are currently being investigated in British Columbia, Canada.

Lofranco, who was born in Toronto in 1992, began his acting career in the 2013 romcom, At Middleton, before going on to star in Jamesy Boy a year later in 2014.

He also played a prominent role in the Angelina Jolie movie, Unbroken, which was written and produced by the Coen brothers.

Lofranco’s acting career continued to flourish with roles in King Cobra, before starring opposite Travolta in 2018’s John Gotti biopic, Gotti. However, this was the final role that is listed on his IMDB, and Lofranco appeared to take a step back from the industry.

During a conversation with Interview in 2014, Lofranco revealed, “I decided I wanted to be an actor when I was 17. I was always funny guy, always trying to make people laugh and always the center of attention. I guess I was being an actor my whole life. I finally realized what I was doing and it was just getting me in trouble.”

He also said of his career ambitions, “I want to do real-life, candid films. I don’t want to be thrown into anything that could jeopardize my career. I want to be wise about what I choose. Actors whose choices I’ve liked are Sean Penn, Leonardo DiCaprio, River Phoenix.”
