Gorillaz tease Tame Impala as next collaborator for ‘Song Machine’ project

Earlier this week Gorillaz, the animated music group, shared a brand new project titled ‘Song Machine’. Today the group has dropped a hint that its next collaborator could be Tame Impala.

The online series began with new track ‘Momentary Bliss’ which featured slowthai and Slaves on the bruising new collaboration.

The two artists joined Damon Albarn’s cartoon band in their legendary Konk studios last week with a new collaborator joining them each week for a joint performance and song.

It would appear now that the band’s guitarist Noodle has let the cat out of the bag on who will be next in line to join the group for a one-off special.

On his Instagram, Noodle has shared a new teaser that sees the group’s iconic Jeep smashing through the visuals for Tame IMpala’s 2015 record Currents.

Exciting times.
