The start of awards season is firmly about to enter full swing, with the Golden Globes unveiling their full list of nominations.
The prestigious ceremony, which celebrates both the film and television industry, is the first major awards night of the year and provides an insight into which movies will be victorious at the Oscars in March.
That’s a wrap!
The votes have been counted from the nominations with Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another leading the way with nine nominations, trailed closely by Sentimental Value and Sinners with eight and seven, respectively.
Meanwhile, Hamnet scored a very respectable six nominations and Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein was somewhat of an unlikely haul with five nominations.
Surprisingly, Marty Supreme, which was expected to be among the frontrunners, only scored three nominations, the same total as K Pop Demon Hunters.
See you on January 11th to see which films will be crowned winners at the 2026 Golden Globes!

It has now been confirmed it will be competed for on January 11th by Hamnet, Frankenstein, It Was Just an Accident, The Secret Agent, Sentimental Value, and Sinners.
Now, that finally brings us to the end of a whirlwind ceremony as the countdown begins to next month’s occasion in Los Angeles.

While it’s not out in cinemas for another month, Hamnet is set to have a strong awards season, judging by the Golden Globes’ nomination list, as Jessie Buckley is nominated for ‘Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama’.
She will compete against a field that includes Jennifer Lawrence for Die My Love, and After the Hunt star Julia Roberts. The list is completed by Tessa Thompson, Eva Victor and Renate Reinsve.

Amanda Seyfried is also shortlisted for The Testament of Ann Lee alongside Song Sung Blue’s Kate Hudson.

However, he will be fighting against Leonardo DiCaprio for One Battle After Another, and Jesse Plemons for Bugonia, who both also put in incredible performances in their respective films.
Thanks to Jay Kelly, George Clooney has also secured a nod.

And the nominees for ‘Best Director – Motion Picture’ are…
Unsurprisingly, Paul Thomas Anderson has received a nod for ‘Best Director – Motion Picture’ thanks to One Battle After Another, which will pit him against Ryan Coogler, who is nominated for Sinners.
