Glastonbury 2025: Watch Turnstile perform fierce ‘Never Enough’
Hardcore band Turnstile performed a set of champions at Glastonbury Festival, bringing an unruly wave of energy to The Other Stage with their knock-out performance of ‘Never Enough’.
On their last two records, 2021’s breakout record Glow On and 2025’s masterpiece Never Enough, the band has sought to straddle the worlds of indie rock and hardcore equally. The titular track from their recent offering is the perfect example of their unique charm, served with chiming synths and roaring vocals.
A video of a Turnstile performance in their hometown recently went viral due to the thrashing bodies throwing jumping on the stage and catapulting into crowd-surfing forms in quick succession. This move has become a staple of their live performances, though the barricades at Glastonbury prohibited such intense audience participation.
No matter, because frontman Brendan Yates was able to incite the crowd into an excessive display of energy with his voice and moves alone. The five-piece played effortlessly, facing a vast crowd, who had watched punk rockers Amyl and The Sniffers take the stage by storm the day before at a similar time.
In Far Out‘s review of Outbreak Festival in London, Turnstile were hailed as one of the greatest live bands currently on the scene: “The next ninety minutes raced by in a pressure cooker of bodies on bodies on bodies. There was relief about the set, finally. Here’s what we’d all been waiting for. Proof that Turnstile summer has commenced.” ‘Never Enough’ at Glastonbury was proof enough that Turnstile summer charges forward.
Friday night at Glastonbury saw The 1975 headline the Pyramid Stage and Loyle Carner headline the Other Stage. On Saturday night, Charli XCX, Neil Young, Scissor Sisters and Doechii headlined each of the main stages. On Sunday, Olivia Rodrigo will close the weekend.
