George Clooney discusses new ‘Ocean’s’ movie: “We have a really good script”

George Clooney has revealed plans for another Ocean’s movie but has kept hush about whether the film would be Oceans 14.

Clooney’s latest comments arrive following news of a prequel starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, who are set to play the parents of his character Danny Ocean. Robbie’s production company LuckyChap are behind the upcoming production, which is set to be directed by Bombshell’s Jay Roach.

In a previous interview, Roach revealed the film would be set in Monte Carlo during the 1960s. He also told Games Radar: “I’m excited for people to experience it when it’s ready. They’re wonderful together. The more projects even outside of that we can have them do would be amazing.”

Speaking at the red carpet premiere of The Boys In The Boat on December 11th, Clooney gave his blessing for Robbie and Gosling to portray his fictional parents in the prequel. “Margot Robbie is my mother? I’ve always thought that. Ryan Gosling is my father. Now when you think about it, it makes sense. Truly,” he remarked.

Now, in a new interview with Uproxx, Clooney discussed a separate film set in the same Ocean’s universe which would reunite the original cast: “We have a really good script for another Oceans now, so we may end up doing another one. It’s actually a great script.”

When asked if it would be Ocean’s 14, Clooney kept his cards close to his chest, responding: “Well … I don’t want to call it that… I mean, the idea is kind of like Going In Style.” As of yet, no further details have been revealed about the possible movie.
