M. Night Shyamalan is recruiting yet more high profile names for his secret new film through Universal Pictures.
The film, which is typically mysterious as with most projects Shyamalan works on, has recruited BAFTA-nominated Mexican actor Gael García Bernal as part of its fast-expanding cast.
García Bernal joins the likes of Eliza Scanlen, Thomasin McKenzie, Aaron Pierre, Alex Wolff, Vicky Krieps, Abbey Lee, Nikki Amuka-Bird and more who are already on board the currently unnamed film.
Shyamalan has been confirmed to write, produce and direct the film and will team up with Ashwin Rajan for Blinding Edge Pictures who are working in a producing capacity. Alongside Rajan, Marc Bienstock will act as producer and Steven Schneider as executive producer.
The picture arrives the 14th film Shyamalan has directed so far in his highly prolific career, following the recently released movies Glass and Split, both of which were met by both critical and commercial success upon their initial release.
As Deadline points out, the secret new project sees Shyamalan move into a slightly new direction, deviating away from a storyline built around two or three main characters and instead focusing his script around an ensemble cast.
Universal Pictures have not yet releases any details around production, casting of potential release date.
