It has been revealed that the new The Frank Zappa Colouring Book will be given a release by the Zappa estate.

The book, which will be a series of ‘interactive illustrations’ based around the life and work of Zappa, has been created by David Calcano and Lindsay Lee. With 72 pieces of work for fans to divulge, creator Calcano told Billboard: “There is no one like Frank Zappa, and there will never be anyone like Frank Zappa.

He added: “He carved his own genre with pure genius. Every record he did gave us a different experience, that was our main inspiration for this book, let your imagination free and colour while listening to Zappa music… What’s better than that?”

Ahmet Zappa, one of Zappa’s sons, added: “I’m blown away,” before adding: “This entire project brings the biggest smile to my face. People who don’t like colouring books, I fear, are dead inside. I’m so happy the Zappa Colouring Book exists, and I worship David Calcano and his team at Fantoons. They make everything better.”

The book will be released in November so you have your Christmas presents sorted already.
