Frances Bean Cobain loses Kurt Cobain’s iconic ‘Unplugged’ guitar in divorce settlement

Frances Bean Cobain has lost her late father Kurt Cobain’s iconic acoustic guitar famously played during Nirvana’s ‘Unplugged’ set in what has become a messy divorce from ex-husband Isaiah Silva.

The settlement comes six months after their divorce became final.

The six-string 1959 Martin D-18E acoustic, which Silva has been holding onto since Cobain filed for divorce last March, is thought to be worth millions and will now become his property.

“It’s not his to take,” Cobain’s mother Courtney Love famously told TMZ as divorce proceedings took a turn for the worse.

However, in new court documents obtained by TMZ, Cobain handed over the guitar following Silva’s demands of $25k a month in spousal support – a sum she has been able to avoid after giving up the “treasured heirloom”.
