Foo Fighters to stage benefit concert in LA in aid of homelessness charities

Foo Fighters have announced that they are set to perform a benefit concert in Los Angeles in early January next year, in aid of homelessness charities.

The band took to their social media on December 2nd to reveal the news, explaining that they will play the special show at the city’s Kia Forum on January 14th, 2026, which coincides with frontman Dave Grohl’s birthday.

The concert will benefit the local charities Hope The Mission and The LA Mission, with fans also urged to provide donations to both organisations when buying their tickets and at the gig.

In a press release, Grohl said of the concert: “What better way to spend my 57th birthday than making a bunch of noise with a bunch of friends for a good cause. This ain’t just a big ass rock show, it’s a big ass party with a heart. Turn up the volume, turn up the hope, but most of all….TURN UP. The best gift is TO GIVE. Can’t friggin wait.”

Within the details of their announcement post, the band made it clear that the show will be an exclusive event, with tickets only available to purchase in-person from the Kia Forum box office from 8am local time on January 7th.

The post added: “The benefit concert also falls on Dave Grohl’s birthday. He asks that fans give whatever they can to support Hope the Mission and Los Angeles Mission — including donations, volunteering, raising awareness and more.”

It comes as one of the first shows the rock band are set to perform over the course of 2026, as their next era gears into life with the recent release of their latest single, ‘Asking For a Friend’.

They will tour across Europe and the US over the length of 2026, stopping in for two nights in the UK at Anfield Stadium in Liverpool in June.

The band will also perform a number of festival headline appearances, including Mad Cool in Madrid, Nos Alive in Lisbon, and Welcome To Rockville in Daytona Beach, Florida.
