Foo Fighters cover Metallica’s ‘Enter Sandman’ with 10-year-old fan on lead guitar
Dave Grohl, the nicest man in rock, invited a 10-year-old fan on stage and who led Foo Fighters through a rendition of Metallica’s ‘Enter Sandman’.
The fan, young boy named Collier, was in the crowd to enjoy Foo Fighters’ headline set at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri, before being invited up on stage. Asked by Grohl if he plays the guitar, Collier answered: “Yes,” to cheers from the crowd. Those cheers turned to huge applause when he followed it up with “I know a lot of Metallica songs.”
With guitar in hand, the young fan leads the band through ‘Enter Sandman’ and ‘Welcome Home (Sanitarium)’ before Grohl stops the band and admits Collier knows more Metallica than they do. As Foo Fighters’ tour draws to a close, Grohl tells the boy to keep the guitar before adding: “If I see that shit on eBay next week, I’m gonna find you, Collier.”
