Foals Share ‘Mountain At My Gates’ To Hint At New Domination

Foals have released another assurance that upcoming album What Went Down is going to be a barnstormer with new track ‘Mountain At My Gates’. Full of pop leanings and punchy riffs the new song reaffirms beliefs that Holy Fire will be trumped by the new album.

Described by frontman Philippakis as “instantaneous” the track hints at the poppier sound the band described was woven in to the new album. It is reminiscent of the urgency found in their first LP Antidotes with a catchy chorus, dynamic beat and a funky riff.

‘Mountain At My Gates’ could easily breach the populous chart, keeping a distinctive rhythm and hints of their math-rock roots with a little extra sheen.

Foals, it seems, mean business.
