Foals founding member Walter Gervers leaves band
Foals’ bassist Walter Gervers has left the band after being a part of the group since their foundation 12 years ago and has featured on all four records.
The band took to social media to announce his departure with a hand-written statement which reads: “The parting has been sad but we remain firm friends,” the group wrote in a statement on Instagram, which you can read below.
Gervers, has been in the band since day one, will pursue “a new life” as the group continues work on its next album, the follow-up to What Went Down. “We love him and wish him well in his future endeavours,” they wrote.
