FAR OUT SAYS DON’T MISS:

The Kills

At the turn of the century, American singer Alison Mosshart and the English guitarist Jamie Hince reinvented the sound of British garage rock, giving us something as loud and dangerous as it is catchy and sexy. While in recent years Alison has spent more time appearing alongside Jack White in The Dead Weather than with her own band, and the tabloids have devoted more coverage to Jamie’s private life than his music, The Kills are just as deadly onstage as they’ve always been.

FIDLAR

It’s like FIDLAR were born to be enjoyed at outside in the sun. The Californian quartet and their skate-punk stylings guarantee to please any festival crowd. Make sure you get to see the band, if nothing else, they are great to get fucked up to.

Sleaford Mods

Representing the Brits abroad, Nottingham duo Sleaford Mods will also be at OFF Festival this year. Following a triumphant 2015 and having just signed a deal with Rough Trade, the minimalist post-punk pair are not to be missed.

WHERE/WHEN/HOW MUCH: Katowice, Poland. Friday 5th August – Sunday 7th August. 3 Day festival Pass from 53 EUR + booking fee, Camping Pass from 15 EUR+ booking fee.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: Winner of ‘Best Medium Sized Festival‘ at the EU Festival Awards, OFF Festival really is a ‘one of a kind’ boutique music festival.

Previous OFF Festival guests have included The Smashing Pumpkins, Primal Scream and The National.

Camping at OFF Festival is not included with the main ticket and requires an additional 15 EUR camping pass. The festival campsite is located at the Muchowiec airport, 800 metres from the festival grounds.

If you only do one thing while you’re there…

As well as hosting some internationally renowned artists, OFF Festival prides itself in offering the hottest Polish acts around too. Take some time to soak up some local talent.

OFF Festival has much more on offer than just the music. Keep an eye out for exhibition announcements and film screenings.
