BBK festival is one not to be missed, with a stunning specifically built complex purpose-built for music fans. The venue, perched on the slopes of mount Cobetas, offers a unique festival experience not often found anywhere else in the city. The mountainous mis-en-scene gives the whole festival a superb secluded vibe that is sure to help forget the 9am starts and the Monday mournings.
Known for being the first festival of its kind, BBK has received various nominations such as “Best Foreign Festival” in the UK Festival Awards 2010 and 2011. Expect a mixture of the known to the unknown bands all there to help this hobbit in the hills party explode.

FAR OUT SAYS DON’T MISS…
My Bloody Valentine
Because everybody deserves to see My Bloody Valentine live at least once in their lives.
Things are getting exciting around this band again, Kevin Shields recently opened up about the creative process behind the band’s forthcoming new album: “We only really got backing track stuff done, drums and stuff,” he said. “And then I’ve only really got into it, now, essentially because I’m not making an album in the way I would normally make an album, which is a self-contained thing.
“It’s more like I’m making an EP, but I don’t want to be constrained to four songs or a certain length or anything,” he continued. “It’s really an EP, but it’s a sprawling EP. I’m going to do a couple of them before I do an album.”
Cigarettes After Sex
Nothing like chilling in the setting sun to some relaxing music is there?
An American ambient pop musical group led by Greg Gonzalez.
The band’s first EP was released in 2012 with the singles ‘Affection’ and ‘K.’ following in 2015 and 2016, respectively. “Cigarettes After Sex also deploy a steady stream of grit and dark themes to push them beyond their contemporaries,” Far Out said of the band when they were added to the ‘The 50 best albums of 2017’ late last year.
David Byrne has thrilled his legions of fans by announcing the arrival of his recent album American Utopia.
The former Talking Heads frontman will be sure to lead the party in Bilbao with his new and classic material. Also, we very much enjoyed his honesty when he said he regretted not working with more women on the record: “This lack of representation is something that is problematic and wide spread in our industry. I regret not hiring and collaborating with women for this album-it’s ridiculous, it’s not who I am and it certainly doesn’t match how I’ve worked in the past.”
This song though:
After the release of their third LP ‘Love What Survives’ a few weeks back, Mount Kimbie are on the road again, hitting venues bigger than ever have before.
Not long ago we were lucky enough to catch an intriguing tour opener at Manchester Ritz and that’s why we’re telling you to get yourself down to their unique live performance. You’d be daft not to.
