1-2-3-4 Festival will again become one of the most important events of the year for any London gig-goer after returning from their hiatus.
With a mix of fresh and hardened bands and artists means that it is one of the most hotly anticipated events of the summer.
Started back in 2007, the festival celebrates up and coming artists and some huge contemporary bands and now in its new location in Bow East London offers a brand new park setting. Surrounded by rivers on all sides and with mainstream festival size stage as well as a newly introduced ‘pit party’ style 360 crowd stage this year’s event is going to kick it up a notch.
Add to that some surprise sessions and secret guests across all the stages being supplied by good bars and wonderful street food and this is looking like the only way to close out your summer season.

FAR OUT SAYS DON’T MISS:
Easily one of our favourite bands of the moment. Fusing together the chaos of The Black Lips with the fury only a punk band has, Thee MVPs are slowly becoming a mainstay of the London scene and with every new beer-throwing, bouncing release they endear us a little more. Expect to dance. Expect to sing. Expect to have a fucking good time.
The gang from Manchester are a truly brilliant band. Fact. They merge punk with dark tones to create something entirely inspiring and utterly unique. Keeping all this wrapped in a nuance of freshness is the real challenge but it’s one that so far PINS have managed to do with aplomb. Their sound may be haunting in parts but it is their ability to make it feel like a cathartic good time which is really impressive.
It would be silly of us to discount the band who brought us to our knees in the mid-noughties, to our knees in a puddle of sweat, blood and beer. So we won’t and you shouldn’t either The band have been together a long time but still haven’t lost the zest for a live performance and with every time we see them we remember why we fell in love with them. Heartfelt tunes with punk ethos wrapped and a screaming pile of frivolity and fun. All good then.

WHILE YOU’RE THERE MAKE SURE YOU: Try and see as many bands as possible. This festival is for the music lover but may be not the organised one. With a short time to fit all the bands in there are bound to be crossovers so make sure you’re prepared to go half and half on a couple. But trust us, it will be worth it.
