Fake fan serves Alice Glass court summons from Crystal Castles’ Ethan Kath after gig
A person pretending to be a fan of Alice Glass handed the former Crystal Castles singer a court summons from Ethan Kath after her show in Chicago.
Glass became one of the many brave women to speak out against sexual abuse suffered during her career. In a detailed statement, she explained how her former band mate Ethan Kath (real name Claudio Palmieri) sexually abused her for nearly a decade.
“I met ‘Ethan Kath’ (Claudio Palmieri) when I was in the 10th grade,” Glass wrote. “The first time he took advantage of me was when I was around 15.” To add to the harrowing accusations, she says: “He forced me to have sex with him or, he said, I wouldn’t be allowed to be in the band anymore.”
However, after initially issuing a denial, Kath has decided to take legal action against Glass claiming she is “still bitter about their break-up”and is “just trying to get attention to jumpstart her new musical venture.” Kath also explains how he believes Glass’ mental health is a reason for the ‘lies’.
Taking the situation a step further, Kath hired a person to pretend to be a fan of Glass’ music only to hand over a court summons: “Just got served after my show in Chicago by someone pretending to be fan,” Glass wrote on Twitter. “lol see you in court asshole,” she added.
