Elvis Presley tries to save a Marilyn Monroe in short animated film ‘Scary Prairie’
Designed and created by Erik Winkowski, Scary Prairie is the animated short film which depicts a heroic Elvis Presley attempting to save Marilyn Monroe from a string of Japanese monsters.
Taking inspiration from Andy Warhol‘s pop art movement, Winkowski manages to pay homage to some of the all-time great Wild West films of years gone by in an action-packed 80 seconds of animation.
Winkowski’s cut-out animation takes on a hypnotic effect as Elvis battles against Godzilla, a nuclear bomb and an alien all combined with the rockabilly soundtrack created by Billy Lilly and Friends.
