Electric Picnic 2026: CMAT, Fontaines DC, and Gorillaz set to headline

The headliners for Electric Picnic 2026 have been revealed, with CMAT, Fontaines DC, and Gorillaz all set to take to the stage.

The Irish festival is set to return for its next edition in the summer of 2026, with artists including Geese, Wunderhorse, and Role Model all included in the first wave of announced acts.

Currently joining them will also be Skepta, Zara Larsson, and Sombr, with more artists still to be announced over the course of the coming months.

Electric Picnic is set to take place from August 28th to 30th, 2026, at its home in Stradbally Hall, based in County Laois, Ireland. As the country’s largest music festival, it will be platforming two of its current biggest exports with CMAT and Fontaines DC as headliners.

The news of Fontaines DC headlining the final night of the festival comes as their second major festival appearance next summer, with it also having been announced on December 1st that they are set to headline Reading and Leeds Festival over the August bank holiday in the UK.

Similarly, for CMAT, the summer of 2026 will see her capitalise on her stratospheric rise throughout the year, as she has already been announced as a headliner at Lido Festival, End of the Road, and Truck Festival in Oxfordshire.

For Gorillaz, the news of their massive Electric Picnic slot arrives as their second European headline festival show next year, after they have already been confirmed to appear at Primavera Sound in Barcelona.

On top of this, they are set to head on a massive UK and Ireland tour over the course of March to June next year, culminating in a huge stadium show at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on June 20th.

Tickets for Electric Picnic 2026 sold out at the beginning of September, just under a year in advance of the festival taking place.
